“Lightning In A Bottle” - “This
is a really lovely song”...”beautiful harmony” - Marie
Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire
Kate got into music when she met her husband in college and he
entered her for the Wrangler Country Showdown which she duly won. This was a
live-broadcast country music talent search show which preceded programmes like
American Idol by some 20 years.
Kate fell for country music listening
to Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette. She subsequently moved to Nashville and has appeared at The Grand Ole
Opry in what she describes as “the bad hair era” of the 80’s.
Lindsay first performed at the tender
age of 4 years old. When she reached 12 she sang professionally with her mum in
another trio then after a move from Arizona to
Nashville they
formed a duo (see pic)
When younger sister Emily moved to Music City
she didn’t want to sing but would watch mum and older sister perform. So much
in life is about timing and around 2005 the timing was right and they became a
trio. she says.
The first show LUCY ANGEL performed in this format was as opening act for Neal McCoy.
Apart from touring the United States, Lucy Angel has also performed
internationally, visiting Japan, Switzerland and China. In 2006 they performed
at the 13th Annual Country Sunshine Festival in Kumamoto, Japan and journeyed
to China twice in 2009. The group are honored to hold the distinction of being
the very first Western Hemisphere act to perform at the Great Hall of the
People in Tiananmen Square, Beijing before Chinese government officials and
more than 280 international dignitaries and ambassadors. 2008 saw them take
part at the Schützenhaus Albisgütli in Zurich, Switzerland.
The beauty of siblings and family members singing together is of course the
unique close harmonies they create and it was the first single which opened
doors.
The group first came to Europe’s
attention in October 2010 with the track ‘Only
Woman Left’. This was included on Hot Disc #142 (Rush Released) the
promotional compilations distributed to the country music media in the UK and
worldwide. This fabulous song sadly peaked at # 30 on the Hot Disc Chart but thankfully was making
waves across the pond with the radio networks. On 25th April 2011 they were
featured on Inside Music Row shown on Showcase TV (Sky Channel 201 and Freesat
403) when presenter Kelly Lynn hooked up with them.
In May 2011 strikingly good looking trio went on a Radio Tour delivering
their then new single “Serious” to radio. The terrific up-tempo song was written
by hit-making songwriters Anthony Smith (George Strait, Tim McGraw), Chris
Wallin (Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney) and David Lee Murphy (Blake Shelton, Brad
Paisley). Watch their
hot video for >> “Serious” (2011) .While on the road visiting country radio stations across the country, they
took a detour through the tornado ravaged town of Cullman, Alabama to help out
a close family friend whose home was destroyed in the disaster.
In December 2012 they
promoted and released holiday track "Mr Santa".
Nashville hit-maker Anthony Smith (Blake Shelton etc; Record Producer/ Musician/ Songwriter/ Beer Can Collector) and Lindsay Anderton, (one third of Lucy Angel) welcomed another little angel into the world in Jan 2013 with a baby daughter, McCartney Blaze Smith, weighing 8lb 12 oz.

In November 2014 “Country music’s most buzzed about emerging trio”, Lucy
Angel made a debut with new single “Crazy Too” on SiriusXM’s The Highway.
The upbeat and infectious tune from their self-titled album appeals especially
to women with its relatable and lighthearted lyrics.
Co-written by award-winning songwriters including Brandy Clark, Shane
McAnally and Karyn Rochel, and produced by heavy hitters, Noah Gordon(Colt
Ford, LoCash Cowboys, Bubba Sparxxx) and Bobby Terry(Alabama, Trace Adkins),
“Crazy Too” captures the effortless harmonies of the trio and exemplifies their
personalities.

‘Discovering Lucy Angel,’ a new docu-series reality TV show (Image ) featuring the trio premiered on Jan.
13, 2015. The series, produced by the same people who produced ‘The Osbournes,’
shows the family group, made up of sisters Lindsay and Emily and mother Kate
Anderton, as they prepared to release their first full-length album.
“I feel like that’s a real strength, is that there’s such a variety of characters, and everyone in the family is such a personality,”
“I feel like that’s a real strength, is that there’s such a variety of characters, and everyone in the family is such a personality,”
As the title says, Charlie’s Angels got nothing on this trio. They are
just as feisty, smart, beautiful and talented and those other
angels but these angels are all related. They are mother with her two
daughters. Their Charlie is Kate’s husband and Lindsay and Emily’s Dad, the
Patriarch of the family they lovingly call G-man….. Press Release
Lucy Angel’s physical self-titled
debut album (New Revolution/G-Force
Entertainment) hit Walmart and Target shelves on January 27, 2015.
The mother-daughter trio initially released the 13-track project digitally on January 13th alongside the premiere of their AXS TV docu-series.

A really solid album. What’s

When you hear Cody Jinks sing, you’ll pay attention. That’s a great quality for a musician because you’ll rarely lose the listener or audience’s attention. Jinks is just one of the many talented country artists to come out of Texas with his style of country music mixed with a little rock and roll. While many were paying attention to Justin Townes Earle and Ryan Bingham’s new records, Jinks just released a pretty nice album of his own.... (Read More Review 9/10 Country Perspective)

Fun
Fact: Kip has a big celebrity crush on Shania Twain. In fact, her "Any Man of
Mine" video is his favourite of all time. Kip told CMT.com in June 2014, "That's
when I discovered that we were meant to be together. She just doesn't know it
yet." Kip and Shania were on the same record label, so there's a good
chance he might get to meet her one day. Unfortunately for Kip, Shania tied the
knot with her husband, Fred, in 2011.
Blurb: Singer-songwriter Kip Moore combines a raw and rustic voice
with compelling lyrics of honesty to create a unique sound that’s
simultaneously hypnotic and edgy. His voice is weathered by life’s detours and
disappointments and strengthened by his dreams and determination. His music is
infused with relentless intensity, both of passion and frustration. The boy who
grew up daydreaming about life outside of the small town of Tifton, Ga., became
a man who has been continually inspired by Bruce Springsteen and Kris
Kristofferson to paint vivid portraits with his lyrics....Read More Facebook Bio
Like so many country singers from the Music City, Kip got started
as a songwriter, penning tunes for the duo Thompson Square.
He co-wrote “All the Way” with Keifer Thompson and “Let's Fight” with Westin Davis and Keifer
Thompson which appeared on Thompson Square's Feb 2011 self titled.
He also got a cut “Good Girl” (written with Dan Couch and Westin
Davis) on Tracy Lawrence's 2013
album Headlights, Taillights and Radios and “Settin' the World on Fire”
(co-written with Derek George and Chuck Jones) from Jake Owen's 2011 set Barefoot Blue Jean Night.
Chart Success
Album
Moore explored his own experiences of growing up in a small
Georgia town and working diligently for years to achieve his musical dreams to
create his MCA Nashville debut album, UP ALL NIGHT released on April 24, 2012.
It made a debut at #6
on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart and #3
on the Billboard Country Albums when it sold 36,666 copies in its first chart frame. This was a week when two
identically-titled albums appeared in the Billboard Top 10 with Moore and the UK’s boy band One Direction
sharing the name! The No.1 Country album at the time was Lionel Richie with
TUSKEGEE selling 78,345 copies leading the chart for a fourth week.
After 25 chart weeks “Up All Night” had past 200K sales with a 208,613
total, by 33 weeks it had reach ¼-millon sales (250,097) in March 2013 it was
#20 on Country Albums having sold 300,881 and as of Aug 2013 it had sold 374,000
copies in the US.
Billboard rated the album a 67 out of 100, stating that
"Moore spends much of his debut album, Up All Night, outlining the
pleasures to be had from hot women and cold beverages”. All Music rated it 3
out of 5 STARS saying that “Moore displays a certain commercial savvy sculpting
his tunes with care, polishing them until they gleam, writing about all the
things country boys love -- faith, pretty girls, beer money, and partying --
throwing them all together in his hit single "Somethin' 'Bout a
Truck,"
yet the album is executed so well it can nevertheless suck you in
against your will. It's big and bright, shameless in its attempt to win you
over, and -- given increased exposure -- that eager-to-please nature winds up
ingratiating whether you like it or not.
The album, which became the best-selling
debut by a US male in 2012 and 2013, successfully captures those
unforgettable coming-of-age moments, especially for those longing for a life
beyond a small town's borders, as well as the roller coaster of love and
heartbreak at any age. He delivers these honest and deeply personal lyrics with
a gravelly voice weathered by life's detours and disappointments and
strengthened by his dreams and unyielding determination. Listen to the >> Title cut
