New To You

Joe and Martina

Badass Married Country Duo, met on Myspace. Singer/Songwriters Musician Nashville, TN. Billboard's One's to Watch in 2018.

Johnny and June. George and Tammy. Waylon and Jessi. Garth and Trisha.

Like the Country music royalty before them, Joe & Martina possess a mutual respect for their craft and the love held for each other is evident whether on or off the stage. Their music unfolds as communicative storytelling through complementary harmonies; It’s a sonic love story unveiled with Bakersfield edge, a touch of modern influence, and the elusive guitar solo.

As independent artists, Joe & Martina continuously flex their creative muscles while remaining faithful to their roots and releasing undeniably “Country” material.

Songs such as “Hometown Summer Nights,” “Middle of Nowhere, USA,” and “I’ve Been Around” have garnered the married duo numerous accolades including a spotlight by Billboard as an ”Artist to Watch”, an official stage performance at CMA Fest, and allowed the couple to grace the cover of Horse & Agriculture Magazine.

As Terra Bella, Joe and Martina were introduced to esteemed producer/guitarist, Johnny Garcia, who began to coach and produce their material in between tour legs with Garth Brooks. In 2016, the debut EP Road To Forever came to fruition and scored the duo's first Billboard Indicator (#51) and Music Row (#42) charting song with the single "You've Got That Somethin'."

Joe, who was the original bass player for the now multi-platinum artist Luke Combs, quickly elevated his lyrical credibility as a songwriter having co-written “Don’t Tempt Me” off of Comb’s This One’s For You and has since been recognized as a producer for not only Joe & Martina material, but rising singer-songwriters such as Allie Colleen, Dustin Huff, and social media sensation Taylor Ray Holbrook.

They released singles "I've Been Around" (Nov 22, 2019), "Give Me Back the 90's" (feat. John Berry) (22 Feb 2020), “Brighter Than Neon” (2 April 2021), "Good In a Small Town" (8 April 2022) and 4 track EP Easy to Love on July 2, 2021.

Sarah McCulloch

I think it’s absolutely wonderful, what a talent, I think she’s got a great voice ” – Marie Crichton CMR Nashville

Sarah McCulloch is a Country/Americana Singer-Songwriter based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Born in Miami, Sarah was raised in the Big Cypress Swamp in a house her family built with hand milled cypress from her Father's sawmill. Sarah was homeschooled for most of her formative years and drew songwriting inspiration from her colorful childhood, surrounded by Seminole Indians and Florida pioneers. “My father was a force of nature, he was a pioneer who was always growing spiritually,” says McCulloch. “He taught me the meaning of hard work and perseverance.” The title track of the album pays homage to that sentiment as well as McCulloch’s unique upbringing and country roots.

McCulloch introduced herself to the world on her debut album, Strawberry Moon, which was released in 2018, and garnered sparkling reviews far and wide. The album was nominated for Country Album of the Year at the Independent Music Awards, making McCulloch the only woman nominated in that category.

As a dedicated songwriter, musician, and mother, her creativity and drive knows no bounds, and “Honey to a Bear” (released Feb 4, 2022 | Lyric Video YouTube) along with the upcoming album Sawmiller’s Daughter is a testament to this. - Music Mecca.org (Interview)

Sarah McCulloch is a Country/Americana Singer-Songwriter whose sweet, yet sultry, voice pierces right through the lush traditional country production on her new album, SAWMILLER’S DAUGHTER. The songwriter’s emotive and nostalgic lyrics showcase her knack for timeless storytelling that transports the listener right into the center of the narrative.

Produced by Jim Bickerstaff (Widespread Panic, Loretta Lynn, Chuck Leavell, Gladys Knight) and written entirely by McCulloch except for, “I’m Just an Old Chunk of Coal'' written by legendary outlaw songwriter Billy Joe Shaver, Sawmiller’s Daughter is an evocative collection of stories rooted in strength, spirit and family. The album was recorded at East Avalon Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and features widely acclaimed musicians including Pat Severs (pedal steel), Kelvin Holly (electric guitar), Clayton Ivey (Hammond B3, pianos, Wurlitzer), John Willis (acoustic / electric guitar, banjo, mandolin), Bob Wray (bass), Terry Feller (drums), Stan Geberer (harmonica) and Donny Carpenter (fiddle).

Sarah McCulloch Sawmiller’s Daughter Self Release (Lonesome Highway Review)

2 cuts have made it to the semi-finals in the ISC. “Honey to a Bear” and “Sun and the Moon.”

McCulloch’s 14-track debut album, STRAWBERRY MOON (released 11 April 2018 | YouTube Playlist), received radio airplay in the U.S. and internationally, as well as amassed glowing reviews from many notable publications including No Depression Magazine and Gashouse Radio. In 2018, Strawberry Moon also gained top recognition as a nominee at the Independent Music Awards in NYC in the Country category, in which McCulloch was the only female artist to be nominated.

Her latest self-released single “Half Crazy” dropped March 25, 2022

Rhyan Sinclair

Lexington, Kentucky. Cosmic Americana from Lexington, KY.

Kentucky’s Rhyan Sinclair is one of those rare songwriters who can simultaneously pay tribute to artists who inspire her and create something entirely new, within one song.

In 2018, she released her first solo full-length, Barnstormer, which spurred Saving Country Music to call Sinclair “a chute of new country music life rising from the soil.” Later in 2018, she released the holiday EP, Marshmallow World (Nov 2, 2018), which was featured on the Americana Music Association’s Holiday Playlist.

In the spring of 2022, this impressive new voice in country returned with LETTERS TO ALIENS (released March 4, 2022), which continues the theme of a woman on a journey, but this time the vibe is cosmic, seventies-esque folk rock with whispers of traditional country.

All of my roots show through in this music,” said Sinclair. “Sonically, it draws inspiration from all of my greatest influences. Lyrically, the songs address my lineage and pieces of my story that I haven’t really shared before. I feel like the narrative of this album is particularly empowered, even in the most vulnerable moments.”

Top 50 on Americana Music Association Radio Chart - Weeks of 3/15, 3/22 and 4/5. ‘Letters to Aliens', reentered the Americana Music Association's Top 50 Albums Chart this week, at #49 (dated April 5, 2022 Graphic).

“The recording process of this album felt like arriving at home,” says Sinclair. “It was the recording process I’d always dreamed of. It was a one hundred percent chill, respectful, safe space. We got to really tune out the world’s noise and tune into the energy of the songs.

The band and I were super in sync. An idea would pop into my head and before I could say it, somebody would suggest the same thing I had in mind.” . “This album is a documentation of my human experience,” she saysr. “My time capsule, my letter on a balloon, my story thus far.

With any luck, these songs will reach others who feel a bit like outsiders, misfits…aliens. I hope that people listen to this record and feel like at least a few of the songs understand them. That’s always my goal. I hope it takes them on a journey, and maybe even inspires them to get a little closer to their inner child. I’ve found so much confidence and freedom in facing the traumas from my past and moving through them, instead of running from them like I did for a while. I can only hope that one of my songs could possibly inspire someone else to do the same, even in the smallest way.”

Rhyan Sinclair - Dragon Spirit (Official Music Video) published Dec 31, 2021:

CMA International Broadcaster of the Year Baylen Leonard named Rhyan one of this week's Spotlight Artists on Absolute Radio Country. The song was on rotation throughout the week.

"An inspirational woman's journey from the darkness of self-doubt and being trapped by the ghosts of the past and her own mind to finding herself and the strength to face the world, this is a strong early contender for the year best of lists." - Mike Davies, Fatea Magazine (UK)

Angie K (Angie Keilhauer)

Angie K is shaking up Nashville with her fresh blend of hard hitting country with a nod to her Latin roots. After her run on Team Blake on NBC’s The Voice, country artist Jake Owen and his team convinced Angie to move to Nashville. They helped fund her first single in town, ‘Real Talk’, written by Jesse Frasure, Nicolle Galyon, Hillary Lindsey, and Thomas Rhett. The bilingual smash catapulted her on the country scene by making her a ‘Highway Find’ on Sirius XM the Highway. A year later , Angie was named one of three Artists for CMA’s artist development program led by Kix Brooks, Mary Hilliard Harrington, and Marion Kraft.

She released the single “Country Is as Country Does” on Oct 8, 2022

The El Salvador born and Georgia raised country artist also released her new single ‘Sunsets’, which was immediately added to mega-playlists ‘Country Risers’ and ‘New in Country’ on Apple Music, 'Breakthrough Country' on Amazon, as well as ‘New Music Nashville’ on Spotify.

Latest track “Honkytonk Bar”, written by Angie K and Marissa Boucher, previews her EP Sun Up To Sundown out April 1, 2022

Jared Blake

Jared Blake was raised on watermelons and rock ‘n roll. Growing up in the small town of Star City, Arkansas, he always had dreams of performing on the big stage. That didn’t stop him from taking his time growing up and learning everything he could about the music business, including songwriting and playing multiple instruments. He realizes that the music industry is forever changing, and he likes to change and grow with it.

He landed his first break with the industry giant Sony/ATV and Bob DiPiero’s Love Monkey Music, as a songwriter for the nation’s largest publishing group. and more.

In 2011, Jared found himself on a new adventure, appearing on what turned out to be a #1 rated show on NBC, The Voice.

Landing on Blake Shelton’s team to guide him, he did what any regular ol’ country boy would do – he rocked it.

He was just as happy on stage alone with his acoustic guitar, with 14-million viewers watching him sing “Not Ready To Make Nice” by the Dixie Chicks, as he was performing the rock tune “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon, in a guitar-throwing, full-out passionate display. All of his performances have appeared in the charts worldwide more than 56 times and reaching as high as #16 on the iTunes charts.

Jared was featured in magazines such as People and Rolling Stone, on television morning shows, and on radio stations syndicated across the nation.

Jared’s debut EP Til Morning Light was released along with the music video for his single Stomp in October 2014. The video was picked up by VEVO and the single ran on NBC’s The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda in November 2014.

His new single, “Orange Keychain” is being promoted to country radio, his first since 2019. Read More

Ali Sperry

Ali Sperry, when faced with a year of trauma, racial reckoning, and downright worldwide existential crisis, did what she has always done — turned inward and wrote songs that channeled, mirrored and ultimately DISTILLED those cultural currents — distilled is the operative word, here, as she and her producer, Jamie Dick, wisely avoid long-form folk indulgence for streamlined contours and razor hooks that feel more rock/pop than folk, and are fairly begging for a decent car stereo and an open road.

Ali, in her singing and writing, is the people’s champ of the “less is more" ethos. There is a slight echo of Laurel Canyon in the sonics of the record, and, always, the confident under-singing of a woman who knows her words and melodies will  happily do the heavy lifting.

Her 10-track Country/Americana self-released album  IN FRONT OF US (Ali Sperry) was released on March 110, 2022 (See Album Review americana-uk ). The album features an absolute murderers’ row of beloved Nashville players, including Jen Gunderman, Audley Freed, Sadler Vaden, Joe Pisapia, Owen Biddle, Kai Welch, Kristin Weber, Rich Hinman, and a slew of other bright lights. It’s a testament to both their instincts and their respect for Sperry’s presence and voice, that it never feels like a cavalcade of assembled star-turns, but a real love-in of massively talented musical souls.

She has a Nashville release show planned in April and currently firming up other tour dates for the spring and summer, including a UK tour. She shared “I got to tour in the UK right before the pandemic and it was one of my favorite tours yet. I’m very eager to go back there and share the new record” . 11 QUESTIONS TO A NASHVILLE MUSICIAN: ALI SPERRY

Kate Ellis

"Wryly reflective, sweetly melodic, touchingly compassionate, warm-hearted." - MAVERICK MAGAZINE (****)

"Quite simply a superb debut album and one that announces the arrival of a genuine talent." - AMERICANA UK (8/10)

Kate Ellis is an Americana singer-songwriter, who was born in Louisiana, grew up in New York and is now based in London, England. Having performed in festivals and concerts across the USA, UK and Europe, the timeless sound of her music reflects her love of classic singer-songwriters from Gram Parsons and Gillian Welch, to Mary Chapin Carpenter, Leonard Cohen and Nanci Griffith.

Kate’s southern country-folk roots come from her father, an important early musical influence who once played guitar with Hank Williams on the famous Louisiana Hayride, where Elvis and Johnny Cash started out.

These influences were explored recently in a ten-episode series of online videos called ‘My Dad’s Records’, in which Kate shared a personal perspective on ten of her father’s  albums, from Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie to Josh White and Bob Dylan, that most shaped the music she loves and writes.

The process of making those videos - which have now been viewed over 35,000 times online and shared widely on social media - was partly the inspiration for the release of her own album on vinyl.

Kate’s emotional and seductive vocals take you into a world of private beauty, reflection and feelings; the music is always intimate and evocative – you listen and want to be there. A journalist for the Observer described “hauntingly beautiful songs”, while BBC Radio country DJ Mike Shepherd said “she clearly has a huge future ahead of her”, with No Depression describing her debut album ‘Carve Me Out’ as “an album of great warmth and feeling that just makes you press repeat. Definitely worthy of recognition.”

Her critically acclaimed debut (2017) was released independently through River Rose Records, tracks from the set were streamed over 150,000 times by fans all over the world, and with Kate increasingly being seen as a key part of the UK’s vibrant live Americana circuit, this story is just beginning.

She released her single 'I Believe' on Feb 23, 2018. Follow up single include "Another Way" (July 2, 2021), "Bluebirds and Rye" (Aug 20, 20211) and 'Wonderland" (Oct 15, 2021)

Her 10 track album SPIRALS (River Rose Records) dropped on Jan 7, 2022. Kate and John Reynolds connected strongly over a desire to capture the emotional truth in the music. John said: “Miraculously, out of lockdown came this beautiful album by Kate Ellis. She is a unique songwriter and deeply emotional singer.” Kate added: “It was incredible working with John. He is a true artist who had a powerful emotional feel for the songs and an amazing vision of how to bring them to life.”

The theme of Spirals reflects Kate’s attempts “to find a new understanding of ways to cope with the demons and dramas that can take over our minds.” It’s about getting lost in the maze of obstacles and pain we encounter in life – how we go around in circles inside our head, or try to get back things we can’t, or solve a pain there’s no solution to. And it’s about getting out of these spirals to a more peaceful place on the other side. More info Track by Track

Jessica Sole

Jessica Sole is a country artist and songwriter based in Shelburne, Ontario, Canada.

Jessica Sole is ready to hit the ground running. Working alongside CMAOntario Producer of the Year Nominee Shawn Moore, Jessica has crafted a fresh, new sound and is excited to share it with the world.

After investing 5 years to forward her career, Jessica is well educated in the music arts and received a Bachelor Degree in Music from Humber College in 2020.

Having influences like Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert, and Taylor Swift she wears her inspirations on her sleeve; but the storytelling in her lyrics and her smooth vocals give Jessica’s music a unique and original feel.

Jessica Sole hit the airwaves in February with her newest single, “Break My Heart Again” off the heels of a solid 2021 with singles, “Think of Us” and “If Momma Raised Him Right”.

Relatable to many, “Break My Heart Again” voices the ‘what ifs’ that come along with replaying a relationship. It really is a good reminder that picking it apart and trying to put it back together won’t change the outcome.

Jessica says “‘Break My Heart Again’ has a way of making you feel heartbroken, reminiscing on the good and the bad, even if you’ve been single for years.”

Coming off the heels of a solid 2021 with singles, “Think of Us” and “If Momma Raised Him Right”, Sole is setting up 2022 to be just as big.
