New on The Show

Tony Stampley

”It Ain’t All Good, but it Ain’t Half Bad” - “Really do like this new one, very nice indeed, really solid country album ...I think that’s great, really lovely country sound” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Tony Stampley - Has written more songs for Hank Williams Jr than any other writer ,such as “I like My Whiskey On Ice” & “Women On Fire”, “I’ve Been Down”, “American Offline”, “Woman On The Run”.
The Nashville Scene, Video of the Year & Top Five funny song of the year 1985 with the parody song about Boy George Where’s The Dress.
50+songs recorded by Major label Artists IE: John Anderson, George Jones, Randy Travis, Moe Bandy & Joe Stampley, Confederate Railroad,&Guitar Legend Lonnie Mack.
Tony is considered one of the great voices of our time &is in high demand in Nashville.
Joe Stampley is his father and Tony co-wrote and recorded his single "It Ain't All Good But It Ain't Half Bad" (Tony Stampley/ John Swat/ Philip Douglas) being promoted in Europe via the August promotional Hotdisc #188. It made its debut at No.7 on the Hotdisc Chart and has climbed to No.3

Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley (Mo & Joe) in the 1980's had a great cover/ satirical cut of Karma Chameleon called >> "Where's The Dress" (written by Tony Stampley with Bucky Lindsey and George Cummings) that reached No.8 on the Hot Country Songs
chart. The good-natured send-up actually won a Best Country Video award. However it got them into a bit of trouble, Boy George was not impressed with the way his song was covered and brought about a court injunction (copyright infringement for using the opening melody) meaning they had to change it completely to satisfy the judges but won a lot of fans. Youngsters who normally bought Culture Club records brought in Boy George pictures to autograph which Stampley signed "Boy Joe"!

Jasmine Rae

Born: In Melbourne Austalia in October 1987
Genre:  Country / Singer-Songwriter
Record label: ABC Music / Universal Music

Awards: 2014 CMC Female Oz Artist of the Year / 2013 CMA Global Artist of the Year
2012 CMC Oz Artist of the Year/ 3x ARIA Nominee for 'Best Country Album'/ 5x Golden Guitar Nominee

Jasmine Rae has come a long way from the quirky, fresh-faced girl, barely out of her teens who released her debut single 'Country Singer' in 2008, into one of Australia’s most acclaimed and respected artists and songwriters.
In April 2013 The Band Perry surprised her with the Global Country Artist Award whilst they were down under at the CMR Rocks the Hunter. Rae has one of the fastest-rising careers of any local artist in Australia. Her debut album LOOK IT UP yielded three No. 1 singles.
With the release (August 2013) of her third studio album, IF I WANT TO, Jasmine took another step forward in her artistic evolution, with her most personal and mature work to date triumphantly capturing the attention of music fans and industry peers.
The album was recorded at Station West Studios in Nashville with Grammy winning US producer, Luke Wooten (Dierks Bentley’s Home).
I feel the songs on my new album are a reflection of the journey I've been on in the last two years,” siad Jasmine.
“This album is an honest conversation between the listener and myself.”
In many ways, If I Want To, signified a new starting point for the young Victorian, who up to this point has been better known for her amazing vocal talents and not necessarily her songwriting ability.
On this third album things were destined to change. Jasmine has her stamp on 12 of the 13 new original songs, and it's a fact she's keen to boast - ''I've always seen myself as a singer-songwriter and that's kind of what I've always aimed to do, but I've always been happy to record songs that other people wrote because they were fantastic songs and they're so much fun to do live,'' she said. ''And you want to sing songs that connect with people, but its just an honour to be able to have your own songs on there and it is a different feeling having other people see you as a singer-songwriter rather than just see yourself that way. I'm very excited by that actually.''
Sadly, Jasmine's dedication to the pen was sparked from the tragic passing of her father.
She said that being by his side during his 11-month battle with cancer, showed her the fragility of life itself and led her to ask serious questions of herself, like was she doing what made her happy. According to Jasmine, she quickly realised that song creation was at the forefront of the answers. Obviously, much of the material on IF I WANT TO is quite personal to Jasmine, album closer First Song in particular. It was penned with fellow Victorian Briana Lee, who had sadly also been through similar circumstances, also having lost her father.
For Jasmine, the experience of the cowrite was something she welcomed with open arms.
''The single [If I Want To] was written with Bob DiPiero, who has penned tracks for so many people like Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. The first two singles both went all the way to #1 on both the National Country Radio & Music Video Charts.

On the Country Tracks Top 30 chart (Australia's leading chart compiled by radio airplay of tracks released in Australia) dated Saturday, 26 October 13 saw Jasmine Rae move 3-1 to top the chart with “If I Want To
'In 2014 “Bad Boys Get Me Good” which featured special guest Kellie Pickler  went all the way to #1 on the CMC National Top 50 Countdown as well as the iTunes Country Music Video Sales Chart. The track also topped major Country Radio Network countdowns across Australia (peaking at #3 at Australian radio overall).
In August 2014 following the success of “'Bad Boys Get Me Good” Jasmine has now released the stunning follow-up single, '”These Hands” (>>Lyric Video) co-written with Kathie Baillie and Michael Bonagura, who are celebrated members of the famous country band, Baillie & The Boys. The band had nine #20 singles on the Billboard Country charts in the late '80s and continue to perform regularly in the USA.

Country Music People Magazine in the UK awarded her album 4 STARS

Kenny Butterill

Location: Scotts Valley, CA 95066, CA, UNITED STATES
Genre: Americana: / Roots Rock / Blues Rock
Record Label: Records
Sometimes compared to: JJ Cale, Gordon Lightfoot and John Prine, Butterill’s delicate, minimalist music is richly textured but never over-produced.

Canadian singer-songwriter Kenny Butterill’s music has garnered airplay on hundreds of radio stations and has endeared him to markets all over the world. A decade ago, songwriter/
producer Butterill was a virtual unknown. The release of Butterill’s debut album, NO ONE YOU KNOW, changed all that and put him on the cutting edge of the progressive music scene. His single, “How Far Can We Go?” became the first ever Americana-format song to crossover and become a #1 Country hit in Europe after spending several months in the Canadian Country Charts.

Kenny Butterill new album TROUBADOUR TALES was released 31 July 2014. Early indications are the long anticipated CD has a sound and feel that is true to Butterill’s legacy of delivering “rootsy, folksy, bluesy, Americana,, feel good music”. His influences include J.J. Cale, John Prine and Gordon Lightfoot. Butterill’s music has garnered airplay on hundreds of radio stations and has endeared him to markets all over the world.
TROUBADOUR TALES, a project ten years in the making, is the third CD from Butterill and it has over 20 world class artists performing on it including Donovan, Audrey Auld, Zoe Muth, Cindy Cashdollar, the late Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, John Lee Sanders, Ray Bonneville, Redd Volkaert, Rob Ikes, David Grier, John Reishman, Washboard Hank and Linda McRae amongst others. The songs selected for the new CD emerged from the songwriting immersion Butterill has been in for the past ten years. Recently dubbed “the romantic poet of Americana music ” by Dallas Dobro the dean of Americana DJs, Butterill writes close to the heart and this is reflected in the new offering.
TROUBADOUR TALES also offers a retrospective of Butterill’s past, present and future observations on world events and the human state. Filled with inviting melodies, masterful songwriting and engaging, earthy vocals, the self-produced TROUBADOUR TALES album is Kenny Butterill personified: compassionate, sensitive and diverse, yet singularly individualistic. Mary Sarah

”Fightin’ Side Of Me” - “Shows real potential, promising new talent, great little track, lovely sweet voice, really do like it” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Country    Hometown: Richmond, Texas    Record label: 144 Entertainment
Influences: Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Connie Frances, Lynn Anderson, Bruno Mars

  • Like many top country artists, Mary Sarah’s first performances were in church at age 8.
  • At 12, Mary Sarah toured the U.S. for 6 months as a featured lead vocalist and dancer in KidzBop, a Razor & Tie Records and Vee Corporation production, produced by Michael Anderson in Los Angeles. The experience from performing in front of 4-6,000 kids per show defined her stage presence and earned her national and global popularity.
  • Not many just-turned 15-year olds are invited on stage by a legendary group like the Oak Ridge Boys to sing acapella. The captivated audience in Galveston’s prestigious Opry sat enraptured… then came thunderous applause and a standing ovation for Mary Sarah’s rendition of the 1961 Connie Frances hit, “Where the Boys Are,” a song that most artists of her tender age would not even attempt, much less, know.
  • 2011 witnessed her first CD titled, CRAZY GOOD (released UK iTunes July 2013), recorded at age 14. The title cut single came out Jan 1, 2011.
  • One advantage of living in Texas is the presence of hundreds of country radio stations and numerous regional Opry Theaters and Mary Sarah has performed in almost all of them multiple times, paying tribute to her heroes – the legends of country music.
  • At just 18 years old, Mary Sarah has already sung a lifetime of country music. The proof is in BRIDGES, the Texas native’s “remarkable new collection” of 12 duets with the architects of country. The list of names is dizzying: Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker and the late Ray Price are among those who, duly impressed and charmed by Mary Sarah’s voice, lent their own to the album.
Hear Ray Price’s Final Duet: When the Opry Country Classics show paid tribute to the late singer on April 17 at the Ryman Auditorium, with special guest Mary Sarah, a rising country singer blessed with a soaring voice, Mary Sarah recorded the last-ever duet with Ray, covering his classic “Heartaches by the Number” on her album, BRIDGES
Mary Sarah is a beautiful young lady with a beautiful voice,” said Willie Nelson, who sang with the future star on his timeless ballad “Crazy.”  Read More

She is a young country singer-songwriter from Illinois in the process of making her debut EP

These six new tracks were produced, recorded and mixed by Neil Kernon for Auslander. They were recorded at Groovemaster Recording, Chicago, IL with music and lyrics by Makean.

Growing up in a quiet suburban town southwest of Chicago would not normally be the typical breeding ground for country singers, but the magic of this genre captured her from the moment the ringing of steel guitars and fiddles, and melodies of Gary LeVox’s voice in Rascal Flatts struck her ears in 2006. The essence of contemporary country music had struck a major chord with Makena, and she began to dig deeper into the roots of this vast, heartfelt area of music.
As an early adolescent, she idolized country queens such as the Dixie Chicks, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert, and kings such as George Strait, Brad Paisley, and Kenny Chesney.
In July of 2011, she took a bold risk and auditioned for season 2 of NBC’s “The Voice”, making it to the top few of over 10,000 that auditioned in her city, but unfortunately was not chosen to be a contestant on the show. That decision only fueled her desire to become a self-sufficient singer and song-writer.
From December 2012 to June 2013, she has opened for national acts and industry legends such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jo Dee Messina, Mark Wills, Steel Magnolia, John Michael Montgomery, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie, Keith Anderson, The Bellamy Brothers, and various other musicians.
Described as: Makena Hartlins powerful vocals, with a high range and unique clear tone, compliment her songs which range from high-energy, catchy foot-stompers, to tear-jerking ballads, all lyrically dense with honesty, humor, and the ins and outs, ups and downs of life as we know it.

Amanda Rheaume

“AGB Bannatyne” – “Very nice track indeed....really refreshing album” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Folk / Roots/ Americana
Hometown: Ottawa

Amanda Rheaume is a powerful vocalist with just a touch of grit and an instantly-accessible roots-pop-Americana sound. Her latest album "Keep a Fire"(2013), is a varied and evocative collection of mostly story-songs about her ancestors that more than lives up to the tradition of epic family-of-origin albums.
Rheaume’s life as a travelling musician has taken her down many roads. Performing over 160 shows a year, Amanda has delivered her unique blend of folk-country-pop twinged tracks to audiences around the world, including the USA, Europe, Faroe Islands, Central America and more.
Hailing from Ottawa, Amanda Rheaume is of M├ętis heritage, which is to say her roots lie in one of Canada’s aboriginal peoples, a fact to which she pays tribute on KEEP A FIRE, her second full-length album and the first to explore a more electric sound.
A sort of musical Who Do Think You Are, the idea for the album arose from her travels across Canada, during which time she found herself encountering previously unknown branches of the family in such places as Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta, gathering together a wealth of stories along the way.
The album began to take shape with Ancient Rime, a folksy, acoustic based number evocative of Joan Baez, which was inspired by her maternal grandfather, Thomas Arthur Irvine, a crew member on HMCS Labrador, the icebreaker that charted the Canadian Arctic and the first ship to circumnavigate North America. Furthering her research led her to northern Manitoba, where her paternal French-Canadian great-grandfather, Origene, and Ojibway great-grandmother, Stella, were ostracised by both communities on account of their mixed-race marriage. This finds expression in Keep A Fire In The Rain, a song set in 1934, where she talks of her great-grandmother serving as the tribe’s midwife, she and her husband living, somewhat symbolically, in a cabin he’d built between the reserve and the mines....Read more in thhis album review at
