made the Top 100.
The highest debut was logged
by The Civil Wars at No.2 (9,825
sales) followed by Lady Antebellum
at No.7 (11,784 sales) making it the trio’s 3rd UK Top 10 album, following NEED
YOU NOW (No.8, 2010) and OWN THE NIGHT (No.4, 2011 with debut week sales of
26,434).
Lady A’s 8 week chart run
was easily the best with other major names only able to log 1 or 2 weeks on the
Top 100.
Taylor Swift’s RED is not classed as a country release by the Official Chart Company
spent the whole of 2013 on the UK Top 100 Albums chart and has enjoyed a 63
week run on the placing since it sold 61,779 copies in its first week in 2012
to give her first UK No.1 going on to sell over 252,000 copies in 12 weeks.
