Jeannine Barry

“Rising UK country star” -  Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire
Genre: Pop Country.

Age: 26 (Birthday 27 November)
Band: Keir Moore (rhythm guitar), Marcus Gooda (bass), Alexander Esp (drums), Ryan Bissett (lead guitar) and Richard Hay ( pedal steel)

Her aims and dream are to bring her unique sound of Country/Pop to the UK and the USA.
Her uncle John Barry is a musician and artist and also her brother and sister are into music.
She has lived in many different places one which was Berlin where she met David Lee Brewer (Photo).
Jeannine was mentored and vocally trained by the American vocal coach and TV presenter who taught artists such as Beyonce Knowles, Letoya Luckett and many more.
Earlier in 2012 Jeannine had a meeting at BMI at their London office where she showcased her songs live and was promised help with contacts when visiting the US.

Towards the end of 2012, Jeannine felt the time was right for her to go into the studio and record some of the material she was playing live. This resulted in her debut 5 track EP GIVE ME SOMETHING (Amazon UK | UK iTunes) produced by Denis Gajetic (Gadget Studios), which was eventually released on Oct 31, 2013 .

The bookend song "Unto My Maker" had quite spiritual overtones which was was written by a music friend of Barry’s who wanted her to cover the song. Jeannine shared “I love that song because it moves me deeply and even though I am not religious I am very spiritual

‘Give Me Something tells a story, you can hear the passion in Jeannine’s voice as her emotional lyrics pull at your heart strings. this London based singer/songwriter has a beautiful voice that sends you off into a trance of relaxationFATEA Review (By Gemma Hirst).

This release further cemented Jeannine’s growing reputation and led to a number of prestigious support slots in London (incl. Katie Armiger, Jill & Kate, Ben Taylor), festival appearances including C2C at the O2 Arena as well as headline shows of her own.
She self released a new single titled “All Night” on Feb 20, 2015 (Amazon UK | iTunes)
On Sunday March 8, 2015 she hit the Town Square Stage along with her band at the C2C Country to Country Fesival.
She headed over to Nashville in April to record a new EP slated to show both old and new fans a different side of her.
Wishing to evolve and not be too one dimensional she penned songs with a focus on a modern pop sound with a rock edge  whilst still retaining a country twist. She was excited at the prospect of working with some Nashville musicians who would help turn her vision into reality.

She appeared as a guest act for the Sonia Leigh and Sasha McVeigh London Water Rats show on the 8th of April.
In June 2015 Jeannine excitedly announced the title OFF THE HOOK (UK iTunes - CD BABY - Google Play) and a 3rd July release date for a new EP with a full page featured in Maverick magazine.

She recorded demos with musicians who worked with artists like Chris Young and Lindsay Ell. The most challenging aspect was getting it all done in a very short time span. She recording her vocals in only 2 days and the EP was produced in just 3 days. The most fun and rewarding parts were hearing the songs come to life. The EP’s 6 tracks were written by Jeannine and some were co-writes with people such as UK songwriter Gary Quinn on the track “Long Hot Summer”
Her intentions were to be in Nashville for her EP release spending 2 months of promoting the project. Plans sadly changed and she cut her trip short and returned to the UK.
