New on The Show

Brinley Addington

“Middle of Nowhere” – New Single

Genre:  Country
Hometown: Kingsport, TN   Current Location: Nashville, TN
Record label: Unsigned

Born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, Brinley Addington’s passion for Country music began well before the small town singer can even remember.
At age three, Brinley began climbing on top of his parents' coffee table pretending he was performing on the Grand Ole Opry. Brinley was influenced early on by the hymns he heard on Sunday morning and the traditional country voices of Randy Travis, Vince Gill, and Alan Jackson. As time went by, Brinley gained inspiration from modern country artists like Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw as well as his parents’ love of bluegrass music.
Brinley’s first full-length album HOMEGROWN debuted in May of 2011 and garnered outstanding reviews from peers and music industry professionals alike. Homegrown produced two music videos (“Hang on a Farm,” “As Long As You Love Me”) that have already gained over 100,000 views.
Addington is a signed writer at Razor & Tie Music Publishing’s Nashville division and signed a development deal with Artist Concepts and is being produced by RCA recording artist, Chris Young and veteran Nashville songwriter and producer, Anthony Smith.
His new single (image) “Middle Of Nowhere” (Jerry Duncan Promotions) was sent to country radio for airplay  July 21, 2014

Calico The Band

“Runaway Cowgirl” - “I think they’re really good, 7 track EP I really do like it, this is my pick ... Very talented trio, stunning harmonies” -- Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Americana / California Country / Singer-Songwriter
Members: Kirsten Proffit, Manda Mosher, Aubrey Richmond
Hometown: Los Angeles

CALICO the band hails from Los Angeles, California three wayfaring strangers made their first acquaintance in the rugged canyon valley. CALICO stands for “California Country” – a musical genre haunted by Western ghosts of the past, but gentle with modern spirits, too.
Kirsten Proffit, Manda Mosher, and Aubrey Richmond combine influences of old, threaded with the sounds of California Country. A blend of three part female harmony set to the backdrop of acoustic guitar, mandolin, resonator, violin, and vibey electrics.
Formed in 2012, CALICO the band is a singer/songwriter “super group” who’s extensive touring earned them National Touring Artist Of The Year from the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2013.
“Beautiful Lie”, the opening track from their self titled EP was featured in a recent episode of ABC’s hit TV show Nashville and “Never Really Gone” (released May 26, 2014 Amazon UK) was slated to appear in NBC’s upcoming show The Night Shift.
Officially representing the GRETSCH Roots Collection of instruments, CALICO the band’s original material pays homage to the rich musical legacy of artists such as Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Fleetwood Mac.
(1 Aug 2014) CALICO the band proudly announced the release of their debut album, RANCHO CALIFORNIA on Tuesday, September 2 via their own label, California Country Records.
This melodically-hypnotic country trio from the San Fernando Valley shook the stage at this year’s Stagecoach Festival.

“We’re here to tell people that Americana music is very much alive,” said Kirsten, “and California is a bountiful source for this style. We love to carry on the traditions of country, seen through a vibrant, new lens.”

“No Where Left To Roam” - “This is a great uptempo” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Sundy Best

“I Wanna Go Home” - I  thought it was rather good “-  Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Foot-stompin
Members: Nick Jamerson, Kris Bentley
Hometown: Prestonsburg, Kentucky   Current Location: Lexington, Ky
Record label: eOne Entertainment

Sundy Best crafts music that re-imagines timeless classic rock of the ‘70s and ‘80s – think the Eagles and the smart, whiskey-voiced lyrics of Tom Petty and Bob Seger.
With Nick Jamerson on guitar and Kris Bentley on cajon, Sundy Best takes that sound, modernizes it in their own unique way by borrowing hints of country and bluegrass, to make it personal. Offstage, the pair are lifelong friends, college athletes and dog-lovers; onstage the musical duo delivers something wholly fresh and original, blending their best influences with personal music histories.
“We set out to do this,” says Kris. “We write our songs, play and sing; it’s what we’ve done, it’s what we’ll do. We want to create something that will stand the test of time, like Seger or the Eagles. We don’t really have a standard genre. If people want to call us country, let them. But with BRING UP THE SUN, you’ll get a really good sense of what we’re doing in our style of country music, and it’s got ‘70s classic rock sounds, with a little pop, rock, and bluegrass.”
In just a few short years, the long time friends have sold thousands of their self-released debut DOOR WITHOUT A SCREEN, which included a late 2013 re-release that pulled down nearly 5000 tracks in one week, played over 150 dates a year, have thousands of social media friends and have started the “kinfolk movement.” A movement that swiftly became the moniker for the growing number of fans that have amassed over the past several years. “Our fan base is solid and growing daily. They are part of our family and that is how we want it to be,” says Sundy Best..... Read more Biography
Sundy Best, Kentucky’s hottest duo eOne Entertainment’s released DOOR WITHOUT A SCREEN Deluxe Edition on August 27, 2013 featuring 18 tracks, with 7 previously unreleased live songs and demo sessions.  The duo received an overwhelming response for the videos “Home” and “Lily” landing the top spot on several charts across the CMT (Country Music Television) platforms.
