Off
to an explosive start, and it’s alright by me - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire
About: Leah Seawright
Leah was surrounded by music
from birth; her parents are both musicians and singers. When she was in
elementary school she developed a speech impediment and had to take classes,
and was able to overcome it. In ninth grade she
auditioned as a backup singer for a band and stayed with them for 2 years.
Leah wrote and recorded two
gospel albums prior to her 2005 debut country album.

On the long path Leah has
been treading, much to her credit it has resulted in her writing and co-writing
13 of the 14 songs on this country debut. Her talents have been recognized
getting the call to open for some notable stalwarts including Mark Chesnutt,
John Michael Montgomery, Restless Heart and John Anderson.
In describing
Leah’s voice it’s as if Tanya Tucker, Pat Benatar and Janis Joplin had all
taken a sip from the same cup of coffee. COUNTRY GIRL 101 (>>
Watch the title cut
YouTube ) showed much promise but the tracks were a bit too
one dimensional.
Taste Of Country described her single ‘On the Backroads’ as a “strong dose of
anthemic ’80s pop-rock blends with country throughout”
In 2012, Leah went into the studio again to complete her second country
project (six song EP) a collaboration with producer Jeremy Stover (the wizard
behind Justin Moore’s string of top Country hits). The first charting single
released was Leah’s raucous 'Til Your Boots Are Dirty'. Leah wrote two of the
six cuts in the new collection including 'Mama Prayed' which celebrated the
redemption that comes from a mothers faith and unconditional love and 'Dixie
Daughter' full of sassy southern pride. As part of the release promotion for
the first single, Seawright teamed up with Montana Silversmiths, the world’s
leading western buckle and jewelry maker as celebrity endorsee for the
organization and brand.
Currently, Seawright has released a third single from the EP, “Dixie Daughter” described on her
website as “full of Alabama soul that's tender and tough. The tune hooks you
from the beginning, written from the viewpoint of the American "girl next
door".
On March 17, 2014 “Dixie Daughter” was sent to radio and she is slated to follow up the release with nationwide radio promotion and ongoing performance tour. Look out for Leah, she is high octane!

“Won't Be Young Forever” Something new now to get up and dance to,
written with The Warren Bros nice vibe to it - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire
About: Dakota Bradley
A country/pop, singer/songwriter hails from St. Louis,
Mo.
He grew up in St. Louis playing basketball, soccer,
hockey and football.
He was listened to bands line Guns & Roses,
Aerosmith and Motley Crue. But, his bio continues “ when he discovered the
heart-tugging lyrics of country music a few years later, he had found a home.”
When Dakota was in eighth grade, he formed a band with some friends, and began playing in local clubs around town. He and his family moved to Nashville when he was in his early teens, but when he turned 16, he went through some trying times that gave him plenty of fuel to power his dreams of a bigger and better life. His home burned down to the ground, then his stepdad, who suffered from addiction problems, left the family. But his fortune quickly turned around when he met a manager who wanted to represent him. His manager hooked him up with another aspiring artist, and the two made a video of a song they performed together, “The Girl Is Mine,” that eventually became an internet sensation. From there he made his debut television performance on the high profile Ellen DeGeneres Show!
His first single, “Somethin’ Like Somethin’”, was produced by Tim McGraw and Byron
Gallimore (who signed him to his new label, Soundstream Records). It debuted on
the Billboard Country Airplay chart at No.60.
Dakota at the 2013 ACM's |
“I am truly blessed to have had Byron Gallimore and Tim McGraw
co-produce the single and my album,” said Bradley. “I pinch myself everyday to make sure this isn’t a dream. I am really
thankful for them both and for Streamsound Records for taking a chance on me.”
He visited radio stations
for three months on a national radio tour making impromptu appearances. He also
appeared at the ACM Awards in 2013. Watch his ACM red carpet interview http://bcove.me/bfn2e1vc
where with his T-shirt he displayed the
country music version of Mount Rushmore!
Dakota describes his music this way — “I sing like a rock singer like Steven Tyler, but I sound country. I think people are gonna like me, because my music is honest and it’s real. I really sell it live…I take performing and my career really seriously, ‘cause I gave up a lot to do this.”
Now a 20-year
old, Dakota’s latest single “Won’t Be
Young Forever” was sent to radio on March 18, 2014. This, his follow-up to his
Top 50 Hit, "Somethin’ Like Somethin’!" is again produced by Byron
Gallimore and Tim McGraw.
