Seven time BC
Country Music Award nominees, Twin Kennedy (previously known as Carli &

honest lyrics, and a magnetic energy.

Bio
Their musical
bond is as strong as their small town roots – Twin Kennedy, comprised of West
Coast sisters Carli and Julie Kennedy, have been making music together since
they could talk. Born and raised in the small town of Powell River, Twin
Kennedy grew up perfecting their sibling harmonies and dynamic live
performances, while making their name known throughout their small community as
a family band.
Growing up in
such a musically infused family, it is no wonder that these sisters crafted their
sound through a unique fusion of their background in country, folk, jazz and
classical music. With years of classical training, including their Bachelors
Degrees in Music Performance from the University of Victoria, the sisters have
found their home in country music. With Carli on vocals and guitar, and Julie
on vocals and violin, these petite powerhouses will fill your soul with joy and
warmth through their seamless harmonies and heartfelt songwriting. No bond
compares to that of sisters, and the same is to be said about the blend of
their kindred voices.
With two EP’s
in their back pocket as Carli & Julie Kennedy, these sisters came into 2015
making a splash in the Canadian country music scene, releasing their debut LP
as Twin Kennedy, which has already earned a Western Canadian Music Award
nomination for Producer of the Year. Produced by multiple CCMA and JUNO award
winning artist George Canyon and renowned Western Canadian producer Graham
Sharkey, It’s a Love Thing is a beautifully honest account of the ebb and flow
of the navigation through love and life. From the uplifting opening track “Get
Back Up Again” to the heartbreaking vulnerability of “That’s What I Should Have
Said” Twin Kennedy has compiled a track listing that is self-described as a true
extension of themselves.

With seven
BCCMA Award nominations since 2012, Carli and Julie have been a highly
recognized duo throughout the West coast music community. When they’re not
touring from town to town on the Trans Canada, Twin Kennedy is often found
writing and performing with Nashville’s best. They had the privilege of
representing Canada’s Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers as the
SOCAN Artist of the Month on the Billy Block Show, second only to the Grand Ole
Opry and Midnight Jamboree as Nashville’s longest running live radio show and
concert series.
Expanding from
their West coast roots, the twins have already travelled from coast to coast,
bringing single "It’s a Love Thing" (CD Baby) to country radio across Canada.
On April 7, 2015 they released their 9 track
album It's a Love Thing (Twin Kennedy Entertainment) in Canada (Facebook Artwork )
They
acknowledge the financial support of FACTOR, the Government of Canada through
the Department of Canadian Heritage (Canada Music Fund) and of Canada's Private
Radio Broadcasters.

the US.
Bio
Growing up in
the English countryside in East Devon, Alex now lives next to the sea with her
dog Tilly and signed her first record label deals for the UK and US.
Performing what
she calls West Country Country, her first single “Orange Van” was out in the UK
in April followed by second single "Everybody Loves a Lover" from her
Nov 10, 2014 released debut album, titled ON THIS DAY (available on Amazon UK and UK iTunes) . A fan of Doris Day since she
was very young, it's a cover of her Grammy nominated 1958 single.
During the
summer 2014 she released a track with the talented DJ team, Electronic Youth.
Coming from a
family of pilots and equestrians Alex sometimes wonders how she chose the path
of music, but aged 7 started to play the dusty violin her grandfather found in
the attic and soon moved onto guitar and song writing. Then she fell in love
with Jazz and discovered the magic of Doris Day, she’s a big inspiration and
will be forever, hence the single.
Now 22, Hart
has been Iucky enough to have played at some legendary venues, the Troubadour
and Ronnie Scotts, even a rooftop private party overlooking the opening
ceremony of the Paralympics 2012! One of her favourite gigs to date was
supporting Turin Brakes at the first Lyme Folk Weekend in Lyme Regis.
