discovery (1989)

They have been nominated for a total of ELEVEN Grammy Awards, and won two GRAMMY Awards for BON APPETIT! MUSICAL FOOD FUN and “cELLAbration: A Tribute to Ella Jenkins”, in the Best Musical Album for Children category. In 2003, they were nominated for three Grammy awards, including their eclectic CD, “POSTCARDS” in the Best Traditional Folk Album category. Also nominated in Trad. Folk for "Live in the UK: Tom Paxton with Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer".

Their superb harmonies are backed by instrumental virtuosity on the acoustic & electric guitar, five-string banjo, mandolin, cello banjo, ukulele, percussion and many other instruments. Top it off with a witty stage presence and warm audience rapport and you’ve got a well loved music duo.

Their latest album DANCIN' IN THE KITCHEN was released on March 10, 2015 (Amazon.com - Review) Amazom.com: This first of its kind CD celebrates diverse families, including one parent and two parents households, grandparents raising their grandchildren, gay and lesbian parents, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) children, extended family like cousins and uncles, adoptive families, mixed race families, identical twins, blended families and even pets. The album not only reflects the growing diversity of family structures in the U.S. and around the world, it highlights the idea that families are bound by love...
