Amaya Rose
“All American Towns” – ”I thought WOW! The first cut really did strike me..just the kind of country we need on the radio these days, just listen to the vocal phrasing, it really is beautiful….Just blew me away, I thought it was absolutely wonderful..when you hear an artist like that well that’s what it’s all about really, I think her voice and the songs are just wonderful” -  Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Amaya Rose
Hometown: Paso Robles, CA
Short Description: Amaya Rose is a 16 year old country singer/songwriter who can also pick a couple tunes on the guitar, and is an award winning fiddle and banjo player.
"Violins sing, but fiddles dance"
Genre: Country  / Classic Country

Biography
Born Amaya Rose Dempsey April 1st, 1999, in Templeton CA.
This young musician has been said to have an old soul.
Combining her love of the classic  legends like Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, her award winning fiddle playing, and new pop twists, Amaya creates a modern, yet timeless sound.

From the age of 3 Amaya was always awed by the violin, and at age 7 her parents began taking her to a classic violin instructor for Suzuki Method lessons once week.
Around 12, she began joining SLO county legend, Monte Mills and the Lucky Horseshoe Band as one of the lead singers and fiddle player.

From there her violin playing (which slowly turned to fiddling) has taken her as far as earning 2nd place in the CA Fiddle State Championships, 2nd at the Western Open Fiddle Championships, an opening act for Merle Haggard (Read article 15-year-old local fiddler opens for Merle Haggard), and guest appearances with Lyle Lovett, and Riders In the Sky.
Just recently (June 2015) Amaya was most generously gifted the opportunity to record a 10 song CD at Kim Copeland Productions (1216 17th Ave S (Studio 1204 17th Ave S), Nashville, Tennessee 37212) by award-winning songwriter Max McGee.

During her stay in Nashville, she also had the amazing opportunity of joining Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers on stage for a spontaneus guest appearance.

A single titled “Different Shade of Blue” was self-released on iTunes July 5, 2015

A 10 song CD (Probably titled TIMING) is slated to be on its way. Amaya shared “Thanks so much to family, friends, and fans, who greatly supported this endeavour”

Jess and the Bandits

“You Can’t Stop Me” - “I think they are a great band, they’ve got a very contemporary sound..another fine UK act, they write their songs with original material and what is needed really to conquer the UK market” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Members: Jessica Clemmons, Ricci Riccardi, Louis Riccardi, Dave Troke, Steven Reid Williams
Genre: Pop/Country

Though somewhat atypical for a group rooted in country to find success in the UK, it is par for the course when it comes to the unlikely group Jess and the Bandits. The Bandits met Texan favourite Jessica Clemmons, the opening act, during a 2012 tour while playing with The Overtones and instantly bonded over their mutual love of Country Music. As they began to play together more and more, it became painstakingly clear that their chemistry was flawless.
Jess and the Bandits

Thus, Jess and the Bandits were born.
Made up of brothers Ricci and Louis Riccardi on drums and guitar respectively, Dave Troke on bass, Steven Reid Williams on keyboards/guitar and of course lovely Jessica Clemmons on vocals, each member of the Bandits brings with them a storied history of country creativity.

Far from home, Jessica Clemmons hails from Houston, Texas, however UK audiences have fallen for her soulful and passionate work so much that she’s become something of an honorary Brit. The country singer got her foot firmly in the door whilst wowing arena audiences on Boyzone’s Bz20 tour, and on other outings from the Overtones to the Stylistics.
Jess graced the BBC Radio 2 playlist last year with ‘Single Tonight’ and sent social media into a spin when she performed her show-stopping female take on ‘Wichita Lineman’ on Terry Wogan’s Sunday morning show.

Front woman Jessica Clemmons, the singer-songwriter from Houston, Texas with the big voice and the warm personality, bonded with the four Brits who make up the Bandits over their mutual love of the music. Now they’re turning that shared affection into some of the most accessible country-pop-rock of the year.
Now, at the helm of the five-piece band, Jessica’s ready to take things up another gear. To lift a phrase from Jess and the Bandits’ feel-good single ‘My Name Is Trouble,’ this country girl can rock your world, but she can take it slow, too. “We got a little of that country-rock feel, and then we’ve got those really pretty country ballad sort of songs,” says Jessica. “I spent ten days in Nashville hoping to write enough songs, and left with more than I could put on the record. I’m really excited about it.”

Jessica graced the BBC Radio 2 playlist early in 2014 with ‘Single Tonight’, had further airplay with ‘Love Like That,’ and sent social media into a spin when she performed her show stopping female take on ‘Wichita Lineman’ on Terry Wogan’s Sunday morning show. All of those tracks are on the new album with the Bandits.
With the band, she wowed arena audiences on Boyzone’s BZ20 tour, just as she had on earlier outings with the Overtones and the Stylistics.

2015 keeps getting bigger and better for 1/5 Texan and 4/5 British country band Jess and the Bandits. Having sold out their three headline performances of the year and debuted at #6 on the official country charts with album Here We Go Again (listen here), the group blew Sir Terry Wogan away with their reworking of Mama Told Me Not To Come and also stole of the heart of Bob Harris (OBE), for whom they have already recorded two Under The Apple Tree sessions in 2015.

Having won rave reviews for their festival appearances, from C2C Country to Country to Ramblin' Man and the performing as special guests to close SummerTyne, the band were excited about the release of their self-confidence anthem Nitty Gritty, which is being released in association with high street plus size retailer Evans' #StyleHasNoSize campaign.

At the launch of the #StyleMantra competition held to find 10 women to appear alongside the band in the music video, Evans Brand Director Fiona Ross stated, 'We’re thrilled to be working on this exciting project with Jess and the Bandits. Jessica embodies everything we’re passionate about at Evans. The new, empowering single Nitty Gritty reinforces our belief that #STYLEHASNOSIZE and we’re so happy to have her as an ambassador.' Shop the looks here.

Teaming up with videographer Ron Yeadon for the playful music video, which has just premiered exclusively on The Telegraph, vocalist Jessica Clemmons had one goal, 'I wanted women to watch this video and feel represented for once. The competition winners were amazing. They were different races, sizes, ages, and all from different backgrounds. They showed incredible confidence in who they are, looked amazing, and have made this video truly something special. I hope that when people watch it they feel empowered and learn to love who they are, despite their, so called, flaws.'

In July they headed up to Gateshead for two performances at The Sage's SummerTyne Festival. After a rapturous response to their Saturday set, the quintet had the honour of closing the event last night.
To celebrate their successful start to 2015, Bob Harris followed up his sessions from earlier this year with a further recording at Cornbury Festival. As a nod to the legendary Sir Tom Jones, who was headlining he festival, the band reworked his own reworking of the Three Dog Night classic, 'Mama Told Me Not To Come'.
Currently gearing up for their debut UK headline tour this October, which follow on from their sold out London shows earlier this year, Jess and the Bandits promise that this year is just going to get bigger and better.
