Jemima is climbing her way up into the folk scene gradually, playing at local gigs and folk clubs. She has been described on more than one occasion as 'one to watch on the Folk scene'. Her uncomplicated yet delicate guitar work provides the perfect accompaniment for her strong and mesmerising vocal. Performing live as a solo act, Jemima is a true and captivating performer and fundamentally what comes through in her music is her unforced and genuine passion for music and story telling.

Gem Andrews
“Please Forget Me” – “I really do like this album, I like it even more when I realized she’s from the UK I thought she was an American, that’s how great it is, it really is so polished! ….I listened to this CD and I thought what a really wonderful album, I didn’t know what to expect…..what a lovely surprise, telling you don’t judge a CD by its cover, a really wonderful album, a gem of an album you might say, yeah!” -  Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Alternative Country/ British singer/songwriter
Band Members: Gem Andrews, Nicky Rushton, Sarah Van Jellie, Gabriel Minnikin, Bernard Wright, Susanne Lambert.
Home Town: Liverpool, UK
Current Location: Newcastle, UK & Berlin, DE
Record Label: Barbaraville Records / Independent

UK based songwriter and musician Gem Andrews crafts beautiful original songs that cut to the quick and speak to the heart. Her work is firmly rooted in her beloved Alt. Country and Americana traditions, with influences from Kitty Wells to K.D Lang.
Singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gem Andrews writes and performs alt-country music with an honesty and rawness that gets straight to the point. Her songs take the listener on journeys, across countries, continents and oceans, seamlessly blending the shifting landscapes with the ups and downs of life.
Her own music is firmly rooted in her beloved Alt Country and Americana, with influences from Kitty Wells, K.D Lang, Neil Young and Townes Van Zandt. She is also a fine interpreter of other peoples work covering numerous songs by an array of different writers.

Gem was born in the Liverpool suburb of Woolton, Merseyside. A much travelled musician she has taken her music around the UK, Canada and across numerous European countries.
The Singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist writes and performs alt-country music with an honesty and rawness that gets straight to the point. Her songs take the listener on journeys, across countries, continents and oceans, seamlessly blending the shifting landscapes with the ups and downs of life.

She released her second album Vancouver, beige is not to be seen, the well oiled lyrical value of one associated with the city of Liverpool is of great quality, the songs run smoothly with bristling agitation and the urge to be seen fully; beige is not an option. Produced by The
Daintees’ Martin Stephenson, the now Berlin based Ms. Andrews takes listeners on a journey of discovery, the map, the guide and the plan is all of Ms. Andrews own making and the desire to follow with complete trust in her well marked footsteps, to be led with abandon, is to give yourself over to one human being for a short while....With tracks such as Your Father’s Diary, Heart Like A Wheel, Crimson Tide and the album title track Vancouver all conspiring with innocent regard for the listener’s appreciation, Vancouver is a shining example of what it means to appreciate the journey. It does not have to be bristling with permanent sunshine, the hospitality doesn’t always require the benefit of being cordial, what it should be is honest and fulfilling. Vancouver is just that, a peek into the world of situations that frame what it is to be alive. Liverpool Sound And Vision

The album opens with a delicate piece of folk-flavoured music called "Calling". Andrews sings about an idyllic childhood soundtracked by Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt, and the like. But, the pain in her voice lets you know that there’s not going to be a happy ending. The theme of family weaves and threads its way through several songs with "Mother Dear" being especially brittle and beautiful at the same time -- a daughter looks on as an old and sick woman lies "silent and sleeping / towards her grave". It's sung over a jaunty tune that sounds slightly eerie and is sure to tug on even the most calloused heartstrings....Thirty minutes after we hear the first notes, we hear the final track, "Vancouver", which is another broken-hearted love song, but one with more than a little bit of hope attached and the perfect way to end an outstanding album. - No Depression

Hip Hatchet
“Travel Map” -  “A musical jack-of-all-trades” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Current Location: Oregon
Influences: Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Tom Waits, Mark Kozlek,
Like many folk songsmiths before him, Hip Hatchet staggers the intersection of romanticized love and everyday trials. Hip Hatchet is the project of  Philippe Bronchtein, a one man band who crafts carefully orchestrated, rustic folk songs about the inner longing for companionship and steadiness. Bronchtein’s witty lyrics and sincerity allows him to visit these classic folk tropes and emerge unscathed by the cliches.
A musical jack-of-all-trades, Hip Hatchet pulls from his variety of musical experiences, including jazz piano, bluegrass, country, chamber music, and the American singer-songwriter tradition, to create a dynamic, original, and candid sound. Hip Hatchet layers on harmony in a way that builds on the carefully crafted sound to reveal the beauty in our messy, complicated lives.
Always a traveling man, once having called Montreal, Vermont, New Jersey, and Portland home, Bronchtein’s liking for the road and rural America comes through in his quest to tell the story of every person his meets.
Recently returned to Portland with a newfound appreciation for home, Hip Hatchet’s songs compel the listener to think about their definition of home and place.
Like many folk songsmiths before him, Hip Hatchet staggers the intersection of romanticized love and everyday trials.
Hip Hatchet layers on harmony in a way that builds on the carefully crafted sound to reveal the beauty in our messy, complicated lives.
Self released on 14 April 2015 his 11 track album HOLD YOU LIKE A HARNESS was recorded in Portland, Oregon at Secret Society and Jalopy. It was co-produced by Philippe Bronchtein and produced, engineered and mixed by Tim Shrout and mastered by Gus Elg at Sky Onion Mastering. Pedal Steel, Piano and Organ recorded by Raymond Richards In Los Angeles, California. The attractive artwork came courtesy of Markel Uriu.
Backed by Scott Davis on guitar, violinist Nathan Crockett and Ty Bailie on keys, parts are also fleshed out with fuller orchestration, Bronchtein has a throaty, gravelly baritone and cites Townes, Bob Dylan and Nebraska era Bruce Springsteen as prime influences. It’s an open and honest work, intimate in its delivery yet still capable of reaching out to larger audiences, the likes of the storytelling fable David’s Wolves, the steel laced, tender Words Of Wisdom (“an exhausted pretty woman drinking in the sun reminded me of how long it’d been since I’d really known someone”) and the slow-waltzing Cars Look Like Crying, which features the terrific line “The tires slide slowly as I stumble and wave to take me to a home full of judgment and men that depend on their cars to cry for them.”, Excellent - Folk Radio UK
‘Hold You Like A Harness’ is a very thoughtful, melancholic and poetic album rooted in folk and Americana and the heart of a traveling man. Read Full review For The Country Record

Amy Helm

“Rescue Me” -  “I didn’t know what to expect I’m not familiar with her music, happy to report it’s a lovely brand new album…. a beautiful album, these albums fill the gap where the mainstream has gone off a little bit, every track is beautiful..what a talent lovely voice…...I think she’s really really good- Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Band Members: Amy Helm - Vocals, Mandolin; Byron Isaacs - Bass, Vocals; Dan Littleton - Guitar, Vocals; David Berger - Drums/Percussion
Home Town: Woodstock, NY
Record Label: eOne Music

Amy Helm began connecting with audiences early in life, playing her first gig in her early teens in a Manhattan bar and drifting informally through a series of combos before her father recruited her to join his live band.  She also absorbed musical and personal inspiration from her mother, noted singer/songwriter Libby Titus; and her stepfather, Steely Dan co-mastermind Donald Fagen, who offered Amy additional opportunities to find herself as a performer.
"I'm just trying to tell some stories as honestly as I can," Amy Helm says of DIDN'T IT RAIN, her first solo album and her eOne Music debut.
Although the personally charged, organically soulful Didn't It Rain is her first release under her own name, Amy Helm has been making music for most of her life.  She's already won widespread praise as a singer, songwriter and live performer, first as a member of the celebrated alt-country collective Ollabelle and subsequently for her extensive work with her father, musical icon Levon Helm, who passed away in 2012.
Blessed with a commanding, deeply expressive voice and an uncanny songwriting skill that instinctively draws upon a deep well of American musical traditions, Amy Helm delivers a timelessly powerful statement with Didn't It Rain.
Didn't It Rain also marked the final recording sessions of Levon Helm, who acted as the project's executive producer as well as adding his unmistakable drumming on three tracks; Levon's distinctive count-off can be heard kicking off Amy's rousing take on Martha Scanlan's "Spend Our Last Dime."
The spellbinding dozen-song set is rooted in first-person experience, exploring universal themes of life, love and loss on such musically and emotionally resonant originals as the smoldering soul ballad "Rescue Me," the hushed, lilting "Deep Water," the meditative "Roll Away" and the stark, haunting "Wild Girl."

Jess Moskaluke
“Strong As It's Ever Been” – “Like what I heard, this is the strongest” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Her fan base grew quickly with her first indie EP release Cover Up (Vol 1 iTunes, Vol 2 iTunes, Vol.3 Amazon UK) debuting at #5 on the iTunes Canada album charts. The first single “Amen Hallelujah” shook the Canadian radio airwaves and has received over a half a million views on YouTube.

The next few years to follow were a whirlwind for this country artist; a Tyler Ward Featured Artist who rocked the stage on a 45-city tour with his camp throughout North America in 2011.

2012 proved to be another exciting year, as she was chosen to represent Canada and perform at the Country Music Association (CMA) Global Artist Party at “The Stage” to help kick off CMA Fest 2012, in addition to her track “Go Big Or Go Home” featured on the hit TV show Heartland.

Following signing with MDM Recordings Inc., in September 2012 she released her debut 8-track EP Catch Me If You Can (Amazon UK). A medley of pop-infused country tracks, with 3 tracks produced by award-winning musician Mitch Merrett (2007 Canadian Country Music Award Producer of the Year and Juno nominee). The title track and respective video was picked up by The Family Channel, airing in winter 2014.
A proud resident of Langenburg, Saskatchewan, in February 2014 she participated in the Telemiracle CTV broadcast, which raised over $5 million dollars for the Kinsmen Foundation to aid Saskatchewan residents to access special needs equipment and medical assistance. When she is not on the road touring, Jess primarily splits her time between her home base in Saskatchewan (with her puppy Shya!), Canada and the US, writing in Nashville.
Along with Alex Kline she is a co-writer of “Unbroken” from Erin Enderlin’s August 2013 album Let Her Talk

With a record-breaking single, a new lip gloss line, and multiple accolades and awards including her first JUNO (2015) nominations for Country Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year… Jess Moskaluke (MDM Recordings Inc./Universal Music Canada) is dazzling the country music world. Her rapidly growing fan base is evident, with a collective online following in the millions, receiving her official Silver Play Button YouTube award for breaking 100,000 subscribers. She won her first 2014 Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) award for Female Artist of the Year, in addition to receiving two additional nominations; Rising Star of the Year and Interactive Artist of the Year. A critically acclaimed artist, she was also crowned the 2011 CCMA® Awards New Artist Showcase winner. She reclaimed her CCMA Female Artist of the Year crown at the newly renovated Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on Sept 13, 2015.
A notable performer on the 2014 CCMA® Awards Show live broadcast, Jess dominates the stage with her powerful vocals, country-pop style and infectious smile. Produced by Corey Crowder (Jamie Lynn Spears) and mixed by Scott Cooke (Dallas Smith, Florida Georgia Line), her single “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes” quickly became the highest charting song on the iTunes top 200 singles chart for any Canadian artist. With her second single off her new 10-track album LIGHT UP THE NIGHT (released April 2014), she also achieved GOLD record status in August 2014; becoming the first Canadian female solo country artist to surpass 40,000+ downloads for a song since Shania Twain. She released her single “Used” in September 2014, followed by single “Night We Won’t Forget” on January 30, 2015.

Her debut single “Good Lovin’ ” hit #17 on the Canadian country BDS charts, and was featured on the Country Hits 2014 compilation (which has sold over 44,000 units to date). The album debuted at #79 on the pop chart and #10 on the country chart for sales. In April 2014 the same single (“Good Lovin’ ”) also won Song of the Year at the 2014 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards (SCMA), in addition to Jess also receiving both a 2014 SCMA Fan Choice Entertainer of the Year nod and her second consecutive SCMA Female Vocalist of the Year title.
In October, Moskaluke will join Paul Brandt and Dean Brody’s Road Trip Tour and has released new single “Kiss Me Quiet” on September 14th. (Via Press Release)

Ashleigh Dallas
Fear The Dark” - "Really like that..a really strong song love, the way it builds, very nice- Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Golden Guitar winner, born and bred Tamworth girl, Ashleigh Dallas has always followed in her family's love of country music. At only 22 years of age, Ashleigh has taken her music to many different stages, and to the ears of many different audiences. Growing up in the Dallas family, Ashleigh was performing on stage from an extremely young age.
Starting out on her Grandfathers (4 time Golden Guitar Winner & Roll of Renown recipient, Rex Dallas) property: The Gully Round Up, and the ever popular Gully Grub Barn, where Ash would recite poetry and sing her favorite songs, then sell CD's while the rest of the family did there thing.
In 2013, Ashleigh released her debut record DANCING WITH A GHOST, which debuted at #2 on the iTunes Country Music Album Chart.

On the back of her first album release, Ash scored herself two Country Music Award Of Australia (Golden Guitar) nominations (Female Artist Of The Year and Qantaslink New Talent), taking out the award for Qantaslink New Talent Of The Year in January 2014 (Photo). 'Other Side Of Town' features 13 tracks written by singer, songwriter & multi instrumentalist Ashleigh, featuring co-writes with her right hand man, Ashleigh' Dad, Brett. Ashleigh states, "Other Side Of Town, is back to my basics.
The four of us who played on the album, our last names are all the same, it's my family band, the band that travel with me the majority of the time, the band that know what I'm thinking by the look in my eye, both musically and personally, a band that is family. I have lots of great friends that are musicians but for this album, I personally needed that extra touch of home, and that was keeping it simple with my family.

Clare Dunn
“Old Hat”  -  “It’s been a long time that a song has moved me so much, it really is wonderful, this is just great..really struck me absolutely beautiful, lot of talent” -

Born on a farm in southeast Colorado near the Oklahoma panhandle, Clare’s roots run deep in the heart of Dust Bowl country. Working cattle, hauling water, driving combines, tractors and eighteen wheelers from a young age all were a part of everyday life. When your closest neighbor is six miles away, and many hours are spent behind the wheel of a John Deere Tractor on the family farm, a work ethic becomes ingrained in your soul. During the miles burned up hauling water to cattle, Clare dreamed of creating her own music.

Driving 45 miles to high school each day, Clare achieved All-State basketball and volleyball recognition in high school. After graduating in a class of eight, Clare’s chance to fully pursue her dream came with college. After a brief college stint in Texas, and with a very supportive family, she relocated to Nashville to attend Belmont College. She paid her way through Belmont University by driving a silage truck for harvest through Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska during every academic break she could. During this time she also picked up a guitar for the first time determined to master both acoustic and electric guitars.
After graduating from Belmont with honors she signed her first publishing deal as a songwriter and hasn’t looked back. Involved with every aspect that goes into the creative process, from writing her debut single “Get Out” with co-writer and producer Ben West, to playing guitars on the track, to singing background vocals, Clare’s music is a true representation of all the things that make her who she is. A farm girl with a vision and sound forged from life experiences, combined with the work ethic and passion for her dream of music.
She has forged relationships and written with some of the most highly regarded songwriters in Nashville and LA, including Hillary Lindsey, David Hodges, Troy Verges, busbee, Liz Rose, Angelo, Terry McBride, Brice Long, Will Hoge, Chris Lindsey, Dylan Altman, Marshall Altman, and more. Clare recently signed a world-wide publishing agreement with BMG/Chrysalis.
Touring, she has opened for Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Colt Ford, Parmalee, Hank Jr., Jamey Johnson and others as well as played major festivals. The first reaction from promoters and buyers is always the same… ”I didn’t realize that you were that good and actually played guitar”.
Her 2013 single “Get Out” (>> Audio) was sent to radio along with 2014s "Cowboy Side of You" neither of which made the Top 60 Billboard Country Airplay. Her latest single "Move On" (MCA Nashville)
Snagged Hot Shot Debut honours at No.58 (Chart issue week of August 1, 2015) and so far has a highest chart rank of #50.

On September 18, 2015 she dropped a 5 track self-titled EP Clare Dunn.
Clare co-wrote and co-produced all five songs on her EP, presenting a gratifying blend of country and rock.
Included on the EP is Clare’s major label radio debut, “Move On,” which country star Dierks Bentley calls out as a “bad ass song” with a “totally unique vibe.”
NPR asserted the “Colorado-raised country newcomer is a little bit Florence, a little bit Bonnie and a whole lot rock and roll.” This magnetic rising star also plays lead guitar on every track both in the studio and in her impressive live show. Clare is a fearless performer and guitar player, drawing numerous comparisons to Bonnie Raitt and Keith Urban while recently out on tour with American rock icon Bob Seger. The Boston Globe commended Clare’s “big voice and serious guitar prowess,” while Rolling Stone noted, “it’s easy to see why Seger himself recruited her [Clare] to open for him on his last tour.” (Press Release)
Clare Dunn EP Track Listing:
Ferrari (Clare Dunn, Jennifer Decilveo)
Move On (Clare Dunn, Jesse Frasure)
Tuxedo (Clare Dunn, Ben West, Brett James)
Old Hat  (Clare Dunn, Tom Douglas) >> Video
Cowboy Side Of You (Clare Dunn, Terry McBride, Brandon Hood)

Rollingstone shining a spotlight on the pop side of her country-pop debut, Clare Dunn's "Tuxedo" (>> audio) described it - “is a punchy, polished ode to the newcomer's ideal man. Co-written with Ben West and Brett James, the song pairs the ingredients of modern-day pop — vocal tuning, drum tracks, gauzy keyboards and ethereal electronics — with a crashing chorus that's more Pink than Paisley.
Clare has been tapped to join Miranda Lambert on the Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour
Chris Young the CMA, ACM and Grammy-nominated hit-maker will welcome country newcomer, Clare Dunn, to open on Oct 22nd on his “I’m Comin’ Over” Tour.
Little-known fact about country newcomer Clare Dunn: she’s the female voice supporting Luke Bryan during the chorus of ‘Country Girl (Shake It for Me)
