The WhiskeyBelles
“Country Christmas” – “Whatever kind of Christmas is there, but a country one” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Americana, Vintage Country
Band Members: Chrissy Dzioba (Guitar/ vocals), Kimmy Unger (Fiddle/ vocals), Sara Moilanen (Bass/ vocals)
Home Town: Milwaukee, WI
Short description: Roots Country born of Gin Hall and Juke Joints!

Hank Williams passion, Carter family harmonies, with a little Hee Haw mixed in for good measure. The WhiskeyBelles are an all-female traditional country and Americana trio based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Belles are widely known for captivating shows featuring their own take on classic and obscure vintage-country, Americana, folk-revival and roots-country tunes, with their witty originals sprinkled in. They’ve been compared with the Pistol Annies, Dixie Chicks and The Trio (Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris & Linda Ronstadt). The WhiskeyBelles have personalities as big as the Texan skyline - they have a great time on stage, and love to share the fun with their audience.
The 'Belles started their musical shenanigans in May of 2011 and by July of the following year they released their independent debut album, WHISKEY WOMAN, which was named one of the 10 best local albums of 2012 by Milwaukee Magazine.

They released their second album on November 30th, 2013. This release is a raucous Christmas album aptly titled, NOTHIN’ SAYS CHRISTMAS LIKE WHISKEY.
Both of their studio albums have received wide-spread radio play across the U.S. and as far away as France and The Netherlands. The title track from their debut album, Whiskey Woman, recently climbed to #8 on the monthly Freeform American Roots Chart (FAR). The chart is assembled of reports from 130 radio stations world wide. FAR is compiled by John Conquest for 3rd Coast Music Magazine, the essential eNewspaper for American Roots music.
Then in June, 2015 they released their third CD on June 12th, a live album titled Tales from the Bootleggers' Ball (UK iTunes). A fun-filled, larger than life album that gives the listener a taste of what it's like to hear the WhiskeyBelles in their element, performing live.
Besides starting a new studio album, the WhiskeyBelles have kept a busy schedule performing over 65+ shows a year.
They have also won the WAMI award for Americana/Bluegrass Artist of the Year as well as the coveted People's Choice Award and have opened for country stars such as Montgomery Gentry, The Lost Trailers, The Kentucky Headhunters and Cadillac Three.

Janet McGarry
“A Carter Family Song” - “An absolute joy..I think she’s got a great sound” -  Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

For over fifteen years, Janet McGarry has continued to be a dominant presence in bluegrass music, both at home and abroad. She has shared stages with some of the most revered performers of this genre, and of her time. With ten albums to her credit, each have earned her awards, accolades, and much deserved respect from the music industry.
Her release "Wildwood Rose" won Album of the Year at the 2012 Eastern Canada Bluegrass Awards in Truro, NS. Among her most significant career accolades, Janet is now a "Daughter of Bluegrass", which is a leading group of female bluegrass artists. Janet appeared as a leading artist on the CD "Bluegrass Bouquet", the group's third collaboration on Blue Circle Records. Janet also appears on the newly released Box Set of the "Daughters of Bluegrass" project called "Pickin' Like a Girl". Janet is also a five-time "Female Vocalist of the Year" at the Eastern Canadian Bluegrass Awards, the industry's highest accolade in Eastern Canada.

Coming from a musical family, her father, Peter, and brother, Raymond involved her in the local music scene as soon as they discovered her love of performing to audiences. Performing before live audiences in little country halls during those early years provided Janet with a strong passion to sing. These were the building blocks that led her to share her love of music and simply sing what was in her heart.
Encouraged by fans and friends she met along the way, she recorded her first CD in the year 2000, which was a collection of bluegrass songs from her idols, and new material penned by local songwriters. That same year, she met her long-time idol, Hazel Dickens, at IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association), in Louisville, KY. Janet found a treasured friend and mentor in Hazel. In her lyrics, Janet found words to live by and she would be compelled to include one of Hazel's songs in each of her recordings.
Janet has also appeared on the compilation CD "Bluegrass Bands / Helping Hands © 2009", "Wildwood Rose" is a special cd for Janet, her 10th recording. To celebrate this milestone, Janet called on some of the industry's finest to help her. Long time friends, Heather Berry-Mabe and Dale Ann Bradley, along with Steve Gulley provide superb harmony vocals, and the CD was mixed and mastered by Steve Gulley of The Curve studio in Cumberland Gap, TN.
Bluegrass/ Classic Country / Folk set “Beneath a Painted Sky” was released in Aug 2014 from the Prince Edward Island, Canada artist. With fourteen tracks in total, Janet selected a mixture of songs and fan favorites, ranging from traditional bluegrass and gospel written by such artists as Carter Stanley, Wynn Stewart and A.P. Carter, to great country classics “Healing Hands of Time” written by Willie Nelson, “I’ll Come Running”, written by Connie Smith, the always fun song “Applejack” written by Dolly Parton, to the title track “Beneath a Painted Sky”, a poignant song recorded by Tammy Wynette in the late 1980’s. “ A Carter Family Song” is an original song penned by Tom T. and Miss Dixie Hall, written to honor all the great music by the Carter Family.

Not happy with one western album, but two as simultaneously he  releases Last Western Cowboy and Indigo Snow. Davis’ ability as a descriptive storyteller of old, a man raised on western movies and traditional country music both elements have long since seeped into his bloodstream has like a duck to water adapted to songwriting. He takes the listener back to past glories of the big screen.
The Last Western Cowboy has the Hollywood, County Down born Davis speaks on the opening track, title-track “Last Western Cowboy” of how he feels like an old timer, but still has the know how. Shari Rowe
“Family Gathering” -  “Fitting for the season and it gets my vote” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Country/Pop Country/Bluegrass
Record Label: Lamon Records Nashville

With her summer anthem “Moonshine,” Lamon Records recording artist Shari Rowe introduced herself and intrigued country music fans through a clever play on words and catchy melody that stuck with you.

With the summer months now behind us, Rowe takes us on journey as she reminisces back to those one of a kind family get-togethers through the picture painting lyrics of her new single “Family Gathering.” The acoustic country/bluegrass base provides the perfect accompaniment as it wraps around you and pulls you into the lyrics.

As you close your eyes and listen, the picture clearly unfolds. She touches on the food and drinks singing of potato salad, her cousin’s homemade pie, and more than just lemonade in those Dixie cups. She also digs deeper into the people gathered and their personalities such as Uncle Jerry being late, her cousin showing up in a little dress with a brand new guy, grandpa talking about how things should be the way they were back in 53, and her brother Joe, who shipped out a year ago, calling home.
New Single “Family Gathering” (Lamon Records) was sent to Radio Nov 14, 2015 with an Impact date Nov 23, 2015

The Slocan Ramblers
“Mississippi Shore” – “The final cut is my pick” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

The Slocans are: Frank Evans (Banjo), Adrian Gross (Mandolin), Darryl Poulsen (Guitar), Alastair Whitehead (Bass),
Emerging Artist Award”- Edmonton Folk Fest, 2015
“I love it – smokin’ bluegrass!”  BBC Radio

The Slocan Ramblers are Canada’s young bluegrass band to watch. Rooted in the tradition, fearlessly creative, and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocans (2015 Edmonton Folk Fest Emerging Artist Award recipients), have quickly become a leading light of Canada’s roots music scene, built on their reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship and their uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan.

On their new album, Coffee Creek (2015) The Slocan Ramblers blend lightning fast and devilishly intricate instrumentals with the sawdust-thick vocals of singer Frank Evans, who takes lead on songs ranging from rowdy old-time numbers like “Groundhog,” to a Dustbowl classic like Woody Guthrie’s “Pastures of Plenty.” “Toronto audiences don’t respond to a clean, polished Nashville sound,” tune composer and mandolinist Adrian Gross explains. “They dig a lot of energy in their music, a rowdy bar vibe. They’re hard to win over.” But The Slocan Ramblers have won them over, moving from a young ensemble of bluegrass pickers to one of the best known Canadian roots bands. They’ve done this by staying true to the roots of the music, not seeking to revive anything but rather to tap the rough and rowdy heart of the music.
Coffee Creek was produced by the band’s friend and mentor Chris Coole (The Foggy Hogtown Boys), a well-known banjo player and community leader in Toronto’s bluegrass and old-time scenes.

The Houston Bernard Band
Home Town: Boston, MA
The band was formed in 2013 when Bernard, a well-established solo performer, crossed paths with an all-star cast of supporting musicians. “It just clicked,” says Bernard “I am very blessed to share the stage with these amazing musicians and people. We each come from diverse musical backgrounds and when we play it just fires up on all cylinders. The new album is all about capturing the sound and creativity of us as a band.”

HOUSTON BERNARD: Born in Oklahoma, Houston is a direct descendant of famous gunfighter George “Bittercreek” Newcomb, a member of the infamous Wild Bunch and a most-wanted man in the 1890s.
More recently, Houston's father and uncle played in country bands with stars like Tanya Tucker and Sleepy Labeef.
The group quickly gained a following in the Boston area of “not so typical” Country Music fans, earning them a nomination by the 2015 New England Music Awards for Country Act of the Year. The band played over 100 shows in 2014, opening for Jake Owen, Eli Young Band, Josh Thompson, Cadillac 3, Delbert McClinton, Scotty McCreery, 38 Special and Pure Prairie League.
The Houston Bernard Band is a must see! The bad boy of Boston country has assembled a group of musicians that bring vitality and grit to modern country. Their brand of original country music is fresh and hard hitting. Houston delivers one crowd pleasing country anthem after another with both polish and passion, while the band cooks up the good stuff; tight, modern country beats, soaring harmonies and expertly crafted solos. The Houston Bernard Band will move you! Nominated for Country Act of the Year in 2015 and Having opened for Jake Owen, Eli Young Band, Josh Thompson, Scotty McCreery, and Pure Prairie League, and performing at colleges, theaters, festivals, fairs, and New England’s most respected country nightclubs, the band is enjoying regional success while gearing up to rock the nation, one town at a time. With down-home sensibility and plenty of rock and roll energy, the Houston Bernard Band has re-imagined modern country with a new philosophy; country music is better raw than fried!
This powerful full-length debut Knockin' Boots from the up-and-coming New England Country band is sophisticated yet fun, featuring compelling and infectious songwriting that captures stellar vocals and intricate instrumental performances with high production values.
