Cale Tyson

“Lonesome In Tennessee” - ”Very honky tonk reminds me of Dwight Yoakham in places” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Cale Tyson is a singer and songwriter from Nashville, TN. Born in a small town in Texas, he was raised in Fort Worth, the home of Townes Van Zandt and the place where he first heard the classic country sounds that have inspired and enriched his gentle, melancholy, and undeniably whiskey-soaked sound.
In 2013, Tyson released HIGH ON LONESOME, his debut EP, which features Kenny Vaughan (Marty Stuart) on electric guitar. The release was featured on CMT.com and in American Songwriter Magazine, as well as numerous other outlets. Tyson has recently been opening shows for Dwight Yoakam on the road, in addition to wrapping up a new record which heavily features Robert Ellis on guitar and vocals. In April 2014, Tyson was featured as one of PolicyMic’s “9 Real Country Music Stars of Our Generation.” In October 2014, Rolling Stone featured Tyson as one of the "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know."
"Old school, sad-bastard outlaw country for a new generation of excited country fans."  - Rolling Stone
Cale Tyson is easy to pick out in a crowd. You can’t miss him: just look for the tall guy in a Stetson hat and classic western wear. Put two and two together and it isn’t hard to guess that Tyson has a hand in country music. His latest EP, Cheater’s Wine, is a six-song goldmine of classic country songs and features Robert Ellis on guitar. Ellis got involved with the project after sitting in with Tyson’s band at a local dive bar during one of Tyson’s weekly performances. “My friend suggested I just go up and ask him if he wanted to work on the EP, and he said ‘yes.’”
Before he was hanging out with Robert Ellis and performing internationally (he has a run of U.K. shows planned for spring), Tyson was an intern at American Songwriter, where he first formed his sensibilities about the songwriting world....Read More....Intern Hall of Fame: Cale Tyson American Songwriter.com

Delta Reign

“Country Sunday” – “I think they’re great ...it’s a really delight, love it, the whole album is great, this one particularly struck me...it’s a lovely album and that track is just beautiful”  - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Bluegrass, Americana, Swing, Folk, Blues
Record Label: Mountain Fever Records
Band Members: Benita Murphy (Lead vocal, Guitar), Pat Murphy (Vocals, Banjo, Dobro), George Mason (Vocals, Fiddle) & Josh Faul (Vocals, Bass)
Home Town: Mobile, AL
Current Location: Mobile, AL
Influences: Flatt and Scruggs, Jim and Jesse, The Osborne Brothers, Vassar Clements
Short Description: "delta bluegrass" from the Mobile River delta region of the gulf coast. As 5 rivers flow together into Mobile Bay to form the delta, so Delta Reign brings together the musical influences of each member...bluegrass, western
swing, blues & jazz...
Delta Reign is made up of the dynamic husband and wife duo of Pat Murphy and Benita Murphy from Mobile, AL, with George Mason and Joshua Faul completing the group.

Pat is a hard-driving and innovative banjo player who assists in the music arrangement. Benita is a singer/songwriter and arranges most of the group's music. She plays a strong rhythm guitar while occasionally adding the rousing swing rhythm that the band is well-known for. Dazzling fans with his fiddle, George is from Gulfport, MS and has an impressive musical resume which is full of exceptional experience that helps set Delta Reign apart. His tenor vocals enhance the group as well. Also from Gulfport, MS, Joshua is the newest member of the band. Originally an electric bass player, he happened upon the upright
bass while filling in with the band for a performance.

There are places in the US where folks are plenty aware of bluegrass, but where some other regional culture holds sway. Such a spot is the US Gulf Coast, from Corpus Christi, TX to Tampa, FL, where tourism and the beach scene dictate the culture of the cities, and fishing and agriculture hold sway in rural and waterfront areas…… Delta Reign flies pretty close to the bluegrass brand, but with distinct elements of swing and folk music in the mix. The Barefoot Movement

“Too Long In One Place” - “I really like the sound, I think they’re great” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Americana/ Folk/ Bluegrass
Besed: Hendersonville, TN
Band Members: Noah Wall (Vocals, Fiddle), Tommy Norris (Mandolin), Hasee Ciaccio (Vocals, Upright Bass), Alex Conerly ( Guitar, Vocals)
The Barefoot Movement is an acoustic quartet with members hailing from Nashville, TN. The group fuses the styles of bluegrass, old-time, Americana, and rock, creating an eclectic, original sound, featuring interweaving harmonies, progressive instrumentation, and accomplished songwriting.

Blurb: Heartfelt, energetic, and down home. Heralded by CMT Edge as "one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene," the music of the Nashville based group The Barefoot Movement is as down to earth as their intention for members of their audience: sit back, relax, take your shoes off, and stay a while.  With two full length albums, several cross-country tours, and appearances at some of the top bluegrass festivals in the United States already under their belt, the possibilities are endless. The group has enjoyed almost non-stop touring including a trip to Burkina Faso, Africa where they were guests of the American Embassy.
The "movement" can be traced back to the teen years of singer-songwriter and fiddler Noah Wall, of Oxford, NC. Just as she had begun penning her first compositions, she met mandolinist Tommy Norris their senior year of high school. Convinced of their musical chemistry and driven by mutual ambition, they continued to build the band from the ground up throughout their college careers. While Tommy studied classical music and recording engineering at Western Carolina University, Noah chose East Tennessee State, particularly for their Bluegrass, Old-time and Country Music Program. Here she began to shape her musical identity, under the tutelage of ETSU's renown staff, and found an instrumental home in old time fiddling. Just before graduation, she met fellow student and lively upright bassist Hasee Ciaccio. Hailing from Myrtle Beach, SC, Hasee brought another female vocal and a solid foundation of rhythm to the group. With the addition of versatile guitarist and singer Alex Conerly of Hattiesburg, MS in 2013, the lineup was complete with all the elements that make up the Barefoot sound: lush harmonies, thoughtful instrumentation, and memorable melodies.

The Johnson City outfit have been making waves in the folk world since the release of their 2011 debut album FOOTWORK.
2013 brought the release of a new album, cross country touring, and all manners of shoeless excitement. The 16 track album FIGURES OF THE YEAR, released on June 4, 2013 (UK iTunes), came on the heels of their west coast tour, opening for Anti Records artists The Milk Carton Kids from Denver to San Francisco to Vancouver. The album was a crowd funded project via Kickstarter (259 backers pledged $16,313)
Debuting on Sept 3, 2014, their third release, a 6 track EP titled "The High Road (UK iTunes) showcased traditional material that has consistently been among the crowd favorites at their live performances.
They have appeared in Country Weekly Magazine, on CMT Edge, Music City Roots, and Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour.
Watch the Official music video for >> "Second Time Around".

Bari Leigh

Was She Pretty” – “My favourite one off the album” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Genre: Southern Rock/ Country/ Country Rock / Pop
Home Town: Darnestown, MD
Record Label: Starfish Music Group ECR Music Group
Short Description: Singer, Songwriter, Whiskey Dranker and Geetar Slanger.
Influences: Miranda Lambert - Brandi Carlisle - Jack White

Bio - Bari Leigh began writing songs at age 7. In her teens, she found her voice and her life's passion. Self taught in guitar and piano, she stepped onto the stage and never looked back. Born and raised in Darnestown, Maryland, Bari's music has a slant of country, infused with pop and heartfelt soul.
She moved to Los Angeles this year to advance her career and often performing at local venues such as The Key Club, House of Blues and Room 5 to name a few. Bari's EP was submitted to be reviewed at the ASCAP "I Create Music" Expo by her producer. Out of 900 applicants, Bari's "The Sand Will Catch Our Fall" was chosen as the judge's favorite. They were impressed by her advanced songwriting and strong voice. This led to Bari Leigh's radio debut. "The EP" (Starfish Music/Engine Company) a 5 track set was released March 8, 2011 (Amazon UK - Amazon.com current Best Sellers Rank: #952,839 in Music) was played across the United States. According to the blurb: Bari Leigh's original lyrics and sound impact people on a visceral level. Her authenticity is a breath of fresh air and leaves you wanting more. Her highest aspiration would be to make a difference in this world through her music, making a positive difference. With her poignant writing, soulful voice and steadfast ambition, we expect great things from this rising young star.

The 10 track TONIGHT, I'M UNCHAINED (Starfish Music/ ECR Music Group MP3 - UK iTunes - Amazon.com ; current Amazon.com Best Sellers Rank: #490,295 in Music) released July 29, 2014 was Bari Leigh's debut album. Written and recorded over a two-year period, the then 25 year- old artist was at its helm as the beautiful Leigh co-produced the album, wrote or co-wrote all of the songs.,
However it seems that excitement about her music was built from early DIY recordings that Leigh released prior to founding Starfish Music. Surprisingly, national and college radio embraced the tracks, as did the taste-making music press. This early notoriety culminated with a feature about Leigh and her music on national television, with CBS's Entertainment Tonight.
"Bari Leigh is set to explode with her infectious mix of pop, country, blues and soul...(a) buzz-worthy artist." – Entertainment Tonight (CBS)

For The Country Record - Bari flirts with the darker sides of life a lot across this record. ‘Was She Pretty’ (written by Bari Leigh and Mamie Lew Gardiner) accuses her partner of playing
away, but instead of raging at him or wailing of her heartbreak, she simply asks, “was she pretty?”, almost as if she is trying to give him an understandable reason for loving another woman. “Were her eyes so blue she made you untrue last night? Did she smile and call you witty? Baby did I ever cross your mind?” Bari continues to plague him with desperate questions, wondering if the reason he betrayed her was because the woman in question was so irresistible, so complimentary, that he couldn’t help himself. The blame almost doesn’t lie with him, taking a picture of a relationship so painstakingly real and gritty that we start to wonder why no-one has considered this angle before.

In March 2015 this beautiful looking lady went for adds at radio and should certainly attract attention with the stuning cover art.
Top Tracks: Was She Pretty, Man’s World, One Last Ride, Desperately

BALSAMO DEIGHTON

“I Don’t Know Why” – ”On the fringes of country music but I really like what they’ve done to this one, just wait for her vocal to come in, really beautiful” - Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

Americana, Folk rock, Country

Steve Balsamo is a Welsh singer and songwriter, best known for playing the lead role in the London production of Jesus Christ Superstar during the mid-1990s. See >> solo performance  Gethsemane Live as shown on BBC TV's Songs Of Praise.
The band The Storys were formed in 2003, with Steve at the helm, playing a '70s West Coast-influenced country rock style.
(Maverick Magazine features:  Image - Images ) A huge music fan, Elton John personally called Steve and told him how much he loved the album. He then invited the band to tour with the “rocket man” all over the UK and Europe during the summer of 2005.
"Wonderful songs, great playing and instinctively beautiful harmonies" - Bob Harris OBE, BBC Radio2
The Storys quietly built up a large fan base, which includes some major stars with Elton John personally calling the band to say how much he loved their debut album. The move saw them support the rocket man at his Liberty Stadium gig.
The Storys could have been the next Eagles but were let down several times when so close to making it big with labels falling flat. Rosalie Deighton (vocals/guitar) later joined the band replacing Dai Smith. In June 2010 Smith returned to play The Storys last gigs hosted by Bob Harris at The Grand Theatre in Swansea. Deighton helped write and record for the The Storys third album, ‘Luck’.
Rosalie (influences Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris) was playing spoons by the time she was four and soon progressed to mandolin and fiddle, touring with the family until she was 19. After EMI, Rosalie was signed for four years to Independiente Records, who have represented artists like Travis and Paul Weller, and she was published by Chrysalis, while Echo Records became her label.
Steve Balsamo and Rosalie Deighton first met over 10 years ago at Grammy award winning producer Martin Terefe’s London recording studio where he was working on their respective major label debut albums. Bonding over a love of 70’s singer/
